I have two black long hair kittens that I am looking to rehome. They are black with downy fur, and a ruff around the neck. They are both intact males. They are larger and stockier than their littermates, who are black domestic shorthairs.
They were born the last week of August. They have been loved, nurtured and well-taken care of by their mother and myself. Their development followed a fairly normal week-by-week pattern, and they were even a little early on developing potty habits.
The longhairs are very affectionate and playful, as are their siblings.
These two are not a bonded pair, and were just shown together in these photos because they are both long hairs. No bonded pairs among the litter of six, but they all get along well.
There are also four domestic shorthairs available, all black, two males, two females. They have stayed indoors since birth.
BACKGROUND ON MOTHER CAT
Mama cat was brought to me by neighbors in July. She was in early pregnancy, perhaps “let out” by her humans because of her condition, but otherwise seemed to have beenwell-taken care of, and very friendly, and showing no signs of neglect or abuse. I made efforts to find her humans, but no response.
The births took place August 27. When it was time, she came up to my chair and laid down on the floor, so I laid down beside her and stayed with her through the six births. Fortunately all six were born quickly and without issues.
She has been a very good mother, attentive to her kids.
